Kundalini Yoga and Meditation (as taught by Yogi Bhajan®)

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation provides a technology, a method by which anyone who practices it can experience their highest consciousness and shift awereness. Kundalini Yoga is much more than just a system of physical exercises. It is a dynamic, powerful tool for expanding awareness.  The practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system, strengthens the nervous system, and enables us to harness the energy of the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves, rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings. This technology combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures in a precise, conscious manner to affect body, mind, and soul. Kundalini Yoga is a yoga for householders, for people who have to cope with the daily challenges and stresses of holding jobs, raising families, and managing businesses. Kundalini Yoga is for everyone who wants the skills to cope successfully with the challenges of living in this day and age. *

Please wear white clothes and bring a head covering. Open for all including if pregnant or injured.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.

Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

While initially this style of yoga can seem quite passive, or soft, yin practice can also be quite challenging due to the long duration of the poses.

Easy Yoga Flow

This class uses a combination of flow of movement and breath in a gentle way, allowing the practitioner insight into the movements and their effects on the body and mind. Appropriate for beginners and all levels.
